Mercu, a Singapore-based mobile computing software startup, has raised $2.4M in seed funding from top investors including 500 Global, TEN13, Flying Fox Ventures, and Archangel Ventures. Founded by Jascha Zittel, Mercu aims to revolutionize the way businesses manage their deskless workforce by providing fast, automated onboarding and training processes via the chat apps people use every day. With Mercu, businesses can reduce their manual communication and admin overhead by automating compliance and SOP training, creating training documentation, and running engagement surveys all through a chat-based interface.
According to the startup, their chat-based approach leads to 4-5 times higher engagement than traditional email or separate websites and apps, with an impressive 22% increase in employee engagement and a meaningful churn reduction. With these strengths, Mercu aims to help businesses onboard, grow, and retain their deskless teams more effectively, freeing up frontline managers and ultimately improving employee satisfaction.
