San Francisco, CA - Luca, a San Francisco-based software development company, announced today that it has raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round led by Soma Capital and Menlo Ventures.
Founded by ex-Uber team member Tanvi Surti, Luca is on a mission to bring revenue optimization tools to the retail industry while building a diverse, kind, and fun company along the way.
Luca's solution is aimed at e-commerce operations teams who are looking to break out of the confines of spreadsheets and guesswork and build a margin-maximizing pricing strategy across all their channels.
Luca's team, consisting of former Uber employees, operates out of the picturesque Hayes Valley area of San Francisco. The company has already attracted a number of high-profile investors, including Y Combinator, Moving Capital, and several angels from TikTok, Uber, Microsoft, and Doordash.
"Our team is excited to have the backing of such esteemed investors and to have the opportunity to bring our revenue optimization tools to the retail industry," said Tanvi Surti, Co-founder of Luca. "Our aim is to help e-commerce operations teams make informed pricing decisions based on data, not gut feelings."
