AeroCloud, a Macclesfield, UK-based airport management company that uses machine learning to transform airport operations and passenger processing solutions, has raised $12.6 million in Series A funding. The round saw Stage 2 Capital, I2BF Global Ventures, Triple Point Ventures, Praetura Ventures, and Haatch Capital participation.
AeroCloud is using AI to transform airport operations and passenger processing solutions for airports, airlines, ground handlers and other players in the travel industry. Founded by George Richardson and Ian Forde-Smith, AeroCloud uses advances in AI and machine learning to automate processes that help improve traveller experience — from security screening to bag drop.
The AeroCloud team will use the funds raised to expand its customer services platform and accelerate the commercialization of the technology.
