Ann Arbor, MI - Sniffer Robotics, a technology-enabled service company focused on environmental services, announced today that it had raised $2,000,000 in seed funding led by Caygan Capital.
Founded by Arthur Mohr, Jr., Sniffer Robotics has developed a cutting-edge solution called the SnifferDRONE™, an unmanned aerial system (UAS) that integrates with Sniffer's patented technology. The solution collects methane concentration data at the ground surface, providing accurate and comprehensive methane leak locations and emission quantification.
The SnifferDRONE was initially developed for the municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill market, which is the US's third-largest source of human-related methane emissions according to the EPA. However, the solution is also applicable to other land-based applications found in renewable natural gas, mining, and other markets. MSW sites are also successfully using the system to aid in reducing landfill odors.
"We are thrilled to have the support of Caygan Capital as we work to expand our technology-enabled services," said Arthur Mohr, Jr., founder of Sniffer Robotics. "Our mission is to provide clear and concise information through advanced tools and solutions that engage and excite our clients to act. With this funding, we can continue to develop and provide innovative solutions to help combat methane emissions and support a sustainable future."
