Dr Saira Siddique is a seasoned public health expert, a trained health economist and a social entrepreneur with more than 2 decades of work experience. She is a medical graduate from Rawalpindi Medical College, Masters in Public Health from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and PhD in Health Economics from University of York. She has worked globally and locally with public and private healthcare institutions and development sector in health sector reforms, health care financing and health insurance. She has also served as founding CEO of a Public Sector Company (Punjab Health Initiative Management Company) responsible for implementation of pro poor micro health insurance program (Sehat Sahulat) in the province of Punjab. During her 3 year tenure there, the Company moved from the status newly established entity to an institution covering 3 M families with a budget of 18 B PKR in 14 districts of Punjab.
