BioVentrix<\/a>, a medical device company headquartered in San Ramon, California, has raised $48.5 million in Series A funding from Andera Partners<\/a>, Richmond Brothers, Inc.<\/a>, and Squarepoint Capital.<\/a> The company aims to improve and expand the treatment options for congestive heart failure (CHF) caused by ischemic cardiomyopathy by developing less invasive, catheter-based approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BioVentrix\u2019s solution offers benefits to patients, payers, and providers. The treatment improves patients’ survival and quality of life by treating the underlying cause of HF less invasively. For payers, the solution can reduce hospitalizations and avoid more expensive, highly invasive procedures such as transplants and LVAD. BioVentrix\u2019s solution provides a unique offering for providers in the growing and expensive disease state of heart failure, enabling them to become pioneers in heart failure treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
